It's been quite a while. Life has been rather hectic making the new house livable, inside and out. Paint is finally up in most of the primary areas. My bedroom isn't quite done yet. The piano my parents had in their house will be arriving at my house this week, and I'm super excited about that. Outside the grass is growing (in patches) and the fence is up! No more dog walking 3 - 4 times a day!
The biggest accomplishment is that I have finished the Stephanie's wrap for my mom. I gave her a sneak peek before it was blocked, but here's the final product.
The pattern calls to continue the single crochet in the edging. By this point I was pretty over single crochet. Plus when I started this project for my mom, she was living in the Great Lakes area, but since then my parents have decided to retire. They have sold their house and are off to the warmer climates of the southern states. So I decided to double crochet the edging. Partially to make it go faster, partially to give it a bit of a lacy touch and more open feel.
Here is a close up photo of the short rows, which I just love.
Quite a while ago I also completed the Leaf Lace Washcloth. This was used to teach a beginning lace class at my LYS.
I'm setting the personal goal of posting once a week. As a way to keep my on track and share my work with others who share an appreciation for everything that yarn can do!
